Laura Hardy is the Academic Program Coordinator at the College of Emerging Studies. As the Academic Program Coordinator, Laura works closely with the Program Directors to support CECS programs. Her primary role is to support program and curriculum development, coordinate course planning and scheduling, and communicate with faculty and stakeholders to support collaborative efforts. Laura received a BA in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a BA in Human Growth & Learning from Tusculum College. She is currently pursuing a MS in Educational Psychology at UTK. Prior to joining CECS, Laura worked in Student Disability Services as a course transcriber. She also worked in the public school system for twelve years as an elementary school teacher.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys watching sports and is a huge fan of her native Philadelphia sports teams as well as the Vols. She has two sons who also keep her busy with their own athletic endeavors. When she’s not watching sports, Laura enjoys listening to music and going to concerts. She enjoys traveling but also loves staying close to home and visiting local restaurants, especially for brunch on weekends.
