The University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine, located at the UT Medical Center, provides residency programs, fellowships, and advanced clinical education across multiple medical specialties. GSM trains physicians and healthcare professionals through accredited programs that combine clinical practice, research, and education.

Paige Johnson, MD

Dr. Johnson is recognized for her excellence in medical education and leadership in curriculum development. A graduate of West Virginia University and the West Virginia University School of Medicine, Dr. Johnson completed her residency at UTGSM and has served in several key teaching roles, including clerkship director and Director of Undergraduate Medical Education. She is a two-time recipient of the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award and the Golden Apple Award for Overall Outstanding Clerkship Director from University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

Craig Pickett, PhD
Director of Workplace Culture and Early Career Development

Craig Pickett, PhD is a higher education professional and community leader dedicated to student development and civic engagement. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Davidson College, a master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in Higher Education Administration from University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Pickett is actively involved in community leadership, serving with organizations including Girl Talk, Inc. and the Knoxville Area Urban League, and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
