In Caleb’s role as the Director of Partnerships & Economic Engagement, he is focused on establishing and maintaining relationships with industry, community, and government stakeholders. These efforts are taking place at CECS to ensure that partnerships lead to collaborations in curriculum development for emerging technology topics and developing talent pipelines. Caleb’s engagements with external partners also helps to facilitate internships and project-based learning opportunities for CECS students. Caleb also has an assignment with UTK’s Office of Research Innovation and Economic Development where he supports the University’s efforts to engage with industry partners focused on research collaborations in artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing and materials, health and human wellness, energy and environment, and mobility.
Prior to working at CECS, Caleb worked with the Knoxville Chamber, the State of TN Department of Economic and Community Development, and the TN State Legislature. Over the course of his career Caleb has partnered with industry and community leaders to support the creation of thousands of jobs in Tennessee.
