CECS is for ALL learners, regardless of college or career path. CECS gives you the opportunity to explore emerging technologies, enhance your degree program with courses and certificates in in-demand skills, and forge your own path while preparing you for the future of work.
Whether you have a clear degree plan or are exploring your options in search of your passion, CECS has an opportunity for you. Take an exploratory course, many of which count as Vol Core, add a certificate or minor to your degree program, or even major or double major in a field like Applied Artificial Intelligence or Data Science.
You can even customize your own degree through our Innovative Transdisciplinary Studies program!

CECS gives you the chance to explore your interests. Take an introductory course in areas like artificial intelligence, data science, or cybersecurity, or enroll in our signature CECS 101: Design Your Career, Design Your Degree course to use design thinking skills to create a career roadmap to help you reach your goals.
Add a certificate to any degree program to enhance your knowledge in an emerging field, or add a minor or even a major to develop expertise in an in-demand field.

A dynamic certificate comprised of work-based learning experiences developed in partnership with industry to equip learners with in-demand skills for the future workforce.
Experiential Learning
CECS works closely with industry partners to provide all learners with real-world, hands-on learning experiences through internships, capstone projects, and research opportunities..
CECS Innovation Lab
Our Innovation Lab is a space for students to put what they learn in the classroom into practice. Equipped with several quadrupeds, a humanoid robot (coming soon!), and several AR/VR headsets, the Innovation Lab puts knowledge into practice, and provides grounds for students to take part in groundbreaking research projects.
