Artificial intelligence is transforming manufacturing, but successful adoption starts with people.
The University of Tennessee’s AI in Manufacturing workforce training equips small and medium-sized manufacturers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to identify, evaluate, and implement AI solutions that improve productivity, quality, and operational performance.
Developed through a partnership between the College of Emerging and Collaborative Studies (CECS) and the Center for Industrial Services (CIS), this program combines university expertise in applied AI with decades of experience helping Tennessee manufacturers improve competitiveness.
Program overview
Participants learn through hands-on examples, real manufacturing use cases, and practical exercises focused on topics such as:

Open for enrollment. Partial discounts are available for companies with 15 enrollees or more in a cohort. This asynchronous online training is from October 1, 2026 to January 15, 2027.
