Applied Cybersecurity, Major

The Applied Cybersecurity major offers students specialized knowledge and skills in cybersecurity, emphasizing practical, operational applications. Develop skills in applied and operational cybersecurity and gain hands-on experience through electives and practical experience via paid, for-credit internships and capstone projects in partnership with industry.


Applied Cybersecurity, Minor

The Applied Cybersecurity minor prepares students for a variety of roles in cybersecurity, enhancing their ability to safeguard information and systems in an increasingly digital world. It will equip you with the essential knowledge and practical skills to protect digital environments. Students in this minor also explore the principles of cryptography and demonstrate knowledge of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.


Applied Cybersecurity Certificate

CECS certificates offer students the chance to develop targeted, practical knowledge and skills in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and data science. Certificates consist of 12 credit hours and can be added to any degree program.
