Dr. Eric Lukosi earned his B.S. in physics and astronomy from Benedictine College in 2007 and his M.S. and Ph.D. in nuclear engineering at the University of Missouri. After earning his Ph.D. in 2012, he joined the faculty of the Nuclear Engineering Department at the University of Tennessee. During his time at UT, Dr. Lukosi has focused on the development of radiation detection systems for a variety of scientific disciplines, including high energy physics, nuclear physics, medical physics, and nuclear security and nonproliferation. During this time, he has held roles as the Associate Head for Research Facilities for the nuclear engineering department, interim head of the applied engineering department, and Director of the Micro-Processing Research Facility.
