Founder and CEO of Orange River Group, an emerging-technology advisory company, Kelly Genzlinger has 25 years’ Information Technology experience, spanning several industries including Professional Services, Residential Construction, Financial Services / Banking, and Automotive Manufacturing. Across companies from mature startup to Fortune 5 in scale, she has held roles of CIO, CTO, CISO, VP IT Transformation, VP IT Corporate Systems, PMO, and Governance. Her corporate experience includes roles at General Motors, Ally Financial, Tenneco, Pulte Group, and Arthur Andersen.
Her areas of focus include leadership and delivery across data, business intelligence and advanced analytics, cyber security, risk management, corporate technology regulatory compliance, software system solutions and applications, IT financial management and strategic work, governance and IT strategy.
She has built and run PMOs, improved IT governance methods and routines, has been responsible for executive leadership and Board reporting relative to IT performance, and has established corporate IT strategy and objectives for entire IT departments aligned to overall company strategy and goals. She has also fostered architecture, quality assurance, business analysis / user experience, organizational change management, and emerging technologies/ innovation and is a strong proponent of their importance, skillsets, and value.
Kelly is also committed to servant leadership, professional development, student/learner opportunities, women in tech, and mentorship. She has successfully instantiated a “perpetual internship program”, co-founded a Women in Tech ERG, provided mentorship, career path navigation, and other support to her network.
Kelly holds an M. Sc. from the University of Michigan, Dearborn in Program and Project Management from the College of Computer Science and Engineering. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Computer Information Systems from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Ross School of Business.
