Dr. Parmar is a distinguished academic and applied AI professional with over a decade of experience spanning higher education, research, and industry collaboration. He currently serves as a Teaching Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he specializes in Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science (DS). His work focuses on leveraging machine learning and data analytics to solve complex real-world problems across education, healthcare, and industrial domains.
He has demonstrated strong leadership in research and academic program development, including significant contributions to the establishment and operations of the PATENT Lab at Mississippi State University, where he led initiatives in Applied Data Science and Natural Language Processing (NLP), mentored graduate students, and supported grant development and scholarly publications. Dr. Parmar has also contributed to building data science research groups internationally, reflecting his global academic engagement.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Parmar has authored over 15 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals such as IEEE Access, Neurocomputing, ISA Transactions, and Physica A, with his work receiving more than 1,500 citations.
