Garrett Barnett is a financial associate with the College of Emerging and Collaborative Studies at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He earned a B.S. in Finance with a minor in Economics from Frostburg State University. Since 2018, his work has focused on Excel modeling, data analysis and financial reporting. His previous experience includes sales operations analysis, growth opportunity analysis, project controls, profit forecasting and labor and job trend analysis. At CECS, he supports department budget analysis, accounts payable, procurement and systems and process improvements that help strengthen day-to-day financial operations. A Maryland native, he moved to Knoxville in 2016 and has since called East Tennessee home. Outside of work, he is a car enthusiast and enjoys traveling and exploring new places.
