Russell Eubanks is an adjunct lecturer of applied cybersecurity courses at CECS. He is a cybersecurity executive, advisor, and educator with decades of leadership experience spanning security program development, risk management, and compliance. He is Managing Partner at Cyverity, where he helps organizations strengthen their security posture through comprehensive assessments, policy reviews, and governance and risk management guidance across diverse industries, with deep experience in highly regulated environments such as financial services and healthcare. Previously, he served in senior technology and security leadership roles, including CIO and CISO positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
In addition to consulting, Eubanks is a SANS Principal Instructor and course author, and a member of the IANS Faculty. He authored SEC405: Business Finance Essentials and co-authored MGT521: Leading Cybersecurity Change. Through Security Ever After, he also coaches CISOs and emerging leaders on organizational alignment, executive communication, and positioning cybersecurity as a business enabler. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
