Nyja Casey is an Applied Artificial Intelligence student and Student Ambassador at CECS who is passionate about outreach, student engagement, and building a strong community around emerging technologies. She strongly resonates with CECS’s motto, “Forge your own path,” and values the college’s emphasis on flexibility, interdisciplinary learning, and entrepreneurial thinking.
Her favorite course is AI 202, where she explores how to design natural interactions between humans and technology—an experience that closely aligns with her UX Design minor and her goal of creating culturally aware, intentional, and empathetic design solutions. After graduation, Nyja hopes to pursue a role at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and UX Design, applying her skills to real-world systems such as energy efficiency, smart buildings, and data-driven technologies. Long term, she aspires to help design ethical, sustainable, and accessible technology that improves how people interact with data.
