This week’s Student Spotlight is Eileen Loebner, a CECS Student Assistant, majoring in Applied AI. Continue reading to learn more about her and her time at CECS.

What brought you to CECS?
A big reason CECS grabbed my attention was because the of the size of the college. I am able to build meaningful relationships with my professors and the staff. CECS is also growing which allows me to constantly meet new peers!
Why did you choose Applied AI as your major?
I chose Applied AI as my major because I used to be interested in computer science, and since AI is becoming increasingly involved with computer science, I thought Applied AI was a perfect route for me.
What is your favorite part about being a CECS student?
My favorite part about being a CECS student is working with like-minded peers.
If you could tell other students one thing about CECS, what would it be?
I would tell other students that CECS has something for everyone because of our customizable degree plans.
What do you hope to do after graduation?
In the future, I hope to create policy surrounding the ethics of AI or work with people creating models to ensure that they are ethical.
