— Dr. Ozlem Kilic, Vice Provost and Founding Dean, College of Emerging and Collaborative Studies

“Serving as the faculty lead for the data science curriculum committee has been a wonderful opportunity to work interdisciplinary. One recent committee meeting in which we discussed community-engaged data science as a possible area for growth for the university highlighted to me the rewards of this work. It has been an honor to work as a team to orchestrate conversations about the roles of data and data science that span fields as varied as education and social work to statistics and computer science.”
